Sustainable tourism endeavours to ensure low impact upon the environment and cultures of the Lake District whilst generating income and employment. The Lake District is both ecologically and culturally sensitive area and responsible tourism will ensure this area is preserved for future generations.
We are therefore please to be members of Nurture Lakeland and are able through our guests visiting our bed and breakfast to contribute towards their fundraising for environmental projects. Originally built as a Keswick guesthouse, Dorchester House is a late Victorian property which has been modernised to meet today's needs but retains many original features.
All rooms have thermostatically controlled central heating, remote controlled colour television, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, and access to WiFi.
Dorchester House is a short walk from Keswick town centre with its many shops, public houses, restaurants, and other attractions.
We are also only minutes from the shores of Keswick's Lake Derwentwater and within easy reach of the local fells.
Dorchester House provides an extensive range of options for guests at breakfast time. Whereever possible we endeavour to source breakfast produce locally offer to our guests a unique Cumbrian experience.
Keswick is home to many events, including the Keswick Convention, Keswick Jazz Festival, Keswick Beer Festival, and much more.
Keswick and the surrounding area also has a great deal of attractions and activities for visitors.
Tariffs range from £32 to £42 per person per night, with children at concessionary rates. All tarrifs quoted in reply to booking enquiries will be based on a room rate.
